If you work in a real estate company that is currently, or is thinking of, training through REAL ITO then you may want to become a workplace assessor for your company. This means you can assess trainees in the company.
Assessment is the process of determining the competence of a trainee.
REAL ITO has a responsibility to ensure assessment against the real estate unit standards it manages is:
Assessors are responsible for ensuring the quality, fairness, and validity of an assessment, and ensure the assessment process is impartial. Assessors are also responsible for reporting assessment decisions electronically to REAL ITO.
Assessors must hold the qualification relevant to the qualification they wish to assess. For example, if you wish to assess the National Certificate in in Real Estate (Salesperson) (Level 4) qualification, you must hold that qualification.
Assessors must also have unit standard 4098 Use standards to assess candidate performance. REAL ITO will assist assessors who do not have this unit standard.
