On job training - how it works

Similar to an apprenticeship, you can study towards your licensing qualifications to become a salesperson, branch manager, or agent. You can gain your National Certificate in Real Estate (Salesperson or Branch Manager) or your National Diploma in Real Estate (Agent) while you are on the job with support from your in house peers and mentors.

Anyone employed or engaged by a licensed real estate company, can access on job training. A training agreement, which is part of the enrolment form, must be signed to access a government subsidy. This is a three way agreement between you (the trainee), your Agent or Branch Manager, and REAL ITO. You agree to do the training, your Branch Manager/Agent agrees to support you, and REAL ITO will assess you.

Gaining a qualification in the workplace is the same as gaining a qualification by studying full-time at an accredited tertiary education organisation except you are earning while you learn.
